Frequently asked questions
What age is Multiply Master for?
It suits roughly ages 6 to 11 — from the first introduction to
multiplication through to fluent recall. The app covers the times tables
from 2 to 10. Children can select any combination of tables, so a beginner
can start with just the 2s and 5s.
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Multiply Master works entirely offline and makes no network requests at
all. Everything — questions, translations, sounds, fonts — is included in
the app itself. It is well suited to car journeys, flights, and school
devices with restricted networks.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No. Multiply Master is a one-time purchase with no advertising, no in-app
purchases, no subscriptions, and no upsells of any kind. Once you buy it,
you have the whole app.
How does the mastery map work?
The mastery map is a 9 × 9 grid where every cell is one multiplication fact. As your child answers questions, each cell changes state:
- Not started yet — the fact hasn't come up
- Learning — answered, but not consistently right
- Learned — answered correctly and reliably
- Needs practice — wrong more often than right
It gives you an honest picture of where the gaps are, rather than a single overall score.
What is the difference between timed and untimed mode?
In untimed mode there is no clock at all, which suits children who freeze
under time pressure or are still learning a table. Timed mode adds a
countdown per question to build recall speed once the facts are secure. You
switch between them with the toggle on the home screen.
How do I reset my child's progress?
The current version has no in-app reset button. Deleting the app and
reinstalling it clears all stored progress and starts the mastery map from
scratch. An in-app reset is on our list for a future update — if this is
something you need, tell us, as it helps us prioritise.
Can two children share one device?
Not yet. The app keeps a single set of progress per device, so two children
sharing an installation will share one mastery map. Separate profiles are a
feature we are considering — feedback is welcome.
Does progress sync between my phone and my iPad?
No. Because nothing is uploaded anywhere, progress is stored on each device
separately. This is a deliberate trade-off: it is the reason the app needs
no account and collects no data.
Which languages are supported?
English, Turkish, German, Spanish, and French. The app follows your device's
language setting automatically; there is no language menu to hunt for.
What do I need to run it?
An iPhone or iPad running iOS 12.0 or later. The app is also available for
Android on Google Play.
What data does the app collect?
None. There is no account, no analytics, and no advertising. Practice
results stay in local storage on the device and are never transmitted. The
privacy policy explains this in full.

Please tell us — this is the kind of report we act on fastest. Include the
exact multiplication shown, what you tapped, and what happened. A screenshot
of the question screen is ideal.
